Maen Dewi cottages are situated on an organic smallholding, a mile from St Davids in Rhodiad-y-Brenin. The farm adjoins the Dowrog Pools Nature Reserve, which is owned and managed by the National Trust. The farm has a small herd of Welsh Black Cattle, which graze on the Dowrog.
There are three cottages, Bwythyn Dowrog, Ty Beudy and Yr Hendy. Each cottage has full central heating and are furnished sympathetically using old country oak furniture. Cots and high chairs are also available.
There is plenty of parking space at each cottage and undercover space available for bikes and boats.
Bwthyn Dowrog was originally a stone outbuilding at Maen Dewi Farm, but has now been converted to create a light, spacious cottage with open views over the Dowrog Nature Reserve.
The cottage benefits from an open plan living area, including a sitting room with open beams, a wood burning stove, TV, DVD & CD player. This comfortable room has French windows, which open directly onto the Dowrog Nature Reserve.
The kitchen has an oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine & microwave and the double bedroom has views over the moor and an en-suite shower room.
There is also a small, secluded, sheltered garden and patio, as well as ample parking.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome and we take short break bookings during the low season.
